Predatory Lending

August 20th, 2002

“We put together a model act that we believe will work in all the other states,” he said… “People still have access to credit, consumers are saving a lot of money and they are being treated fairly… “We think there’s an opportunity to save billions if we can get this passed in other states nationwide,” Easley said… “We were told time and time again that if we stopped predatory lending practices our people wouldn’t have access to credit.”
