”We have made significant progress in addressing the issue of infant mortality,” Gov. Mike Easley said Monday. ”We have increased Medicaid funding for poor women and infants, and have implemented educational outreach programs on prenatal care, neonatal care and parenting that help people be better parents. This is what it takes to reduce infant mortality. We must continue to build on these efforts
